South Kaien Logistics Project (SKLP)
A $100 million logistics and warehouse complex is rising up right next to the Fairview Container Terminal and the new CANXPORT site. It’s a joint initiative of the Prince Rupert Port Authority and Metlakatla Development Corporation. The first tenant is already locked in: IntermodeX will run a 100-door facility handling import transloading and logistics. Commercial operations start in 2027, with at least 200 new jobs expected.
